We are seeking an inspirational, committed, and highly skilled leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Head Teacher and SENDCo. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious colleague to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Academy and ensuring the very best outcomes for our pupils.

As Assistant Head Teacher, you will:

  • Be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, contributing to the strategic direction and daily management of the Academy.
  • Lead with vision, drive, and integrity, embedding our values and ethos across all aspects of school life.
  • Inspire colleagues and students alike, creating a culture of ambition, high standards, and continuous improvement.
  • Play a central role in safeguarding, inclusion, and pastoral provision, ensuring that every pupil thrives both academically and personally.
  • Model outstanding teaching and learning, champion curriculum development, and drive professional learning across the staff team.

As SENDCo, you will:

  • Lead the Academy’s provision for pupils with SEND, ensuring their needs are met through high-quality teaching, targeted intervention, and inclusive practice.
  • Oversee the SEND strategy and ensure statutory responsibilities are met, including the effective management of EHCPs and support plans.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external agencies to secure the best possible outcomes for all learners.
  • Champion equity, access, and opportunity for all pupils, breaking down barriers to learning.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is an experienced and reflective practitioner with a proven track record of improving outcomes for young people.
  • Has the ability to lead, motivate, and develop staff at all levels.
  • Brings energy, resilience, and creativity to the role.
  • Holds (or is working towards) the NASENCo qualification.
